Inauguration of the ICEC Students’ Club at Marian Engineering College Aug 21th, 2025

The Integrated Civil Engineering Council (ICEC) Student’s Club was inaugurated on 21st August at Marian Engineering College, Kazhakuttom, Trivandrum. The event commenced at 10:00 AM with a prayer. The formal proceedings began with a Welcome Speech by Dr. Rani V., Head of Civil Engineering Department, and a Presidential Address by Dr. Samson A, Dean academics, MEC.

The inauguration was officially carried out by Er. Anil K. Mathew, Chairman of ICEC Zone Travancore.

The event was further graced by the presence of eminent personalities from ICEC Kerala State. Among them were Er. Sajan Jose (ICEC Kerala State Chairman), along with distinguished executives Er. Divya Divakar, Er. Faisal Majeed, Er. Vishnu Priya, Er. Prasobh, and Er. Sajan Salim. These dignitaries recognized and congratulated the newly selected student members of the club.

The ICEC Student Chairman is Mr. Shreyas, with Ms. Gowri Vinod serving as Vice Chairman. Mr. Neo Dawn has taken charge as the Convener, supported by Mr. Lakshman Vinayak as the Joint Convener. Mr. Akhil Krishnan has been appointed as the Treasurer. Together, they will lead the activities of the council in collaboration with their peers.

A total of 40 student members were formally honoured and inducted into the ICEC Students’ Club during the program. Their selection and recognition mark the beginning of a dynamic platform for civil engineering students to enhance their professional knowledge, leadership, and technical skills. The faculty coordinators of the ICEC Students Club are Prof. Greeshma and Prof. Karuna, who will guide and support the club’s activities.

A technical session on “Kerala Building rules & various career opportunities in Civil Engineering” was conducted by Er. Sajan Jose, State Coordinator of ICEC Student’s Club, which added an academic dimension to the event.
