Malappuram Chapter Tech Camp 03 – Ooty

The ICEC Malappuram Chapter conducted Tech Camp 03 on 25 and 26 October 2026 at Ooty — a two-day camp combining a technical seminar with model-making games for civil engineers and students.

The technical session, “Beyond the Blueprint: The Real Challenges of Civil Engineering Practice”, was a collaborative group discussion led by Er. Rahees P, Structural Engineer, Puthalath Associates (Pvt) Ltd. Students of MES Engineering College, Kuttippuram, joined the camp, and the chapter thanked the college’s Principal Dr. Rahmathunza, Dr. S. J. Sha and Asst. Prof. Haseena of the Department of Civil Engineering for encouraging their participation.

The discussion focused on practical site challenges, sharing actionable solutions and working towards a unified Code of Conduct for civil engineering practice. Alongside the session, interactive Civil Engineering Games tested participants’ technical knowledge, creative problem-solving and team coordination.
